Stevenage WATCH Page
Hello and Welcome to the Stevenage WATCH Page. WATCH is the
Junior part of the Wildlife Trust. We meet monthly & at
half-term holidays, either in Stevenage or in the surrounding
area of Hertfordshire. We have our own nature reserve (in a part
of Fairlands Valley), and do all sorts of activities, such as;
- Bird Watching
- Pond Dipping
- Fox & Badger Watching
- (Light) Conservation Work
- Walking Along Nature Trails
- Wild Flower & Fungus Spotting
- Minibeast Safaris
In fact, anything to do with Nature! Fairlands

and see what the group get up to...

Programme
(Meetings are 2p.m. to 4p.m. unless otherwise stated.)
- Saturday October 2nd.
We will be meeting at Pryors Wood, near Dixons warehouse at the top end of Gresley Way.
Please bring binoculars and bug catchers. The warden (Les Young) will be taking us on a tour of
the wood.
- Saturday November 6th.
We will be heading off up the A1 to the R.S.P.B. reserve in Sandy, Bedfordshire to see what
birds and other wildlife are to be found at this time of year. (please ring one of the leaders
if you need any help with transport or directions).
- Saturday December 4th.
Christmas Party - we will be meeting for this at the Field Study Centre at Astonbury Wood.
We hope that Chris Woodard will be able to come and give us a talk. Please bring food to share,
we will supply the drinks. TIME YET TO BE ARRANGED.
